Do we get to keep the fish?

Yes. We can send the fish anywhere in the world, though most people take the fish with them.

Do you clean and package the fish?

Yes, we clean and package the fish right after each trip. You can also have the option of getting your fish vacuum packed should you choose to.

What kind of clothing should we bring?

Usually a light sweater of jacket is fine. We provide any rain gear should you need it.

What is the weather like?

Most of the time the weather is sunny in the summer. Usually August has the warmest weather, though in the last couple of years, June has been the warmest.

What are the best times to come?

May-June: for halibut and salmon combination

July: Sockeye and King salmon

August - September: Larger Kings returning to the rivers

Can you smoke the fish?

Yes, you can have your fish smoked with in 2-3 weeks and sent to your home.

Directions to Boat Basin (Ucluelet, B.C.)

Follow Hwy 4 west of Port Alberni and take left when you come to intersection. You can go right to Tofino or left to Ucluelet. Take left to Ucluelet. Follow Pacific Rim Hwy into town and take left after Canadian Princess onto Lychee Rd and left again onto Hemlock and another immediate left into Small Craft Harbour (Boat Basin).

If you are coming form Tofino, just head South on Pacific Rim Hwy and turn left after Canadian Princess on Lychee and left again onto Hemlock and another immediate left into Small Craft Harbour (Boat Basin).

Directions to Harbour Key Marina (Port Alberni, B.C.):

Follow Hwy 4 west to Port Alberni
After you come down the big hill turn left on Port Alberni Hwy(immediately after Timberwood Lodge)
Turn left at T on Third St
Turn Rt on Argyle
Turn left on Harbour St. It is second Parking lot to the right.

Directions to Clutesi Haven Marina(Port Alberni, B.C)

Follow Hwy 4 west all the way through Port Alverni
Turn rt at the T on to River Road
Go over bridge and take first left into Clutesi Haven Marina
