How we compare to fishing resorts and fishing lodges in BC

You will likely will catch more fish with us than fishing lodges or fishing resorts!

You don't catch fish like this at fishing lodges! Fishing Resorts and Fishing Lodges often fly you into fish. With us you can drive to the destination and make it part of your larger vacation. We are very comparable to a fishing resort or fishing lodge in that we offer fishing packages that include resort accommodation, fishing, fishing cleaning and vacuum packing and also one amazing fresh seafood dinner. You get this all for less cost, personal service and experienced fishing guides versus going with less experienced guides at resorts(Most resorts have a pretty high turnover rate).

At most fishing resorts or fishing lodges you get 15-18ft fishing boats. With us you get experienced guides with 25-29 ft boats. Our boats are all covered and offer toilets so there are no painful moments waiting to go in and run up the dock.

Better than a fishing resort? Just a good day fishing

You also have a relaxing schedule compared to a fishing resort. We usually leave the dock around 6 a.m. and get back around 2. Some may think that is not enough fishing time, however, we usually have action packed fishing and by the time we go in you may have some sore arms from all the reeling. I have worked fishing resorts in other areas and this tops them by far in the number of fish you catch. You get the best of both, nice house/resort and lots of fish with an experienced guide.

Ucluelet has not seen the decline of fish stocks that other areas around British Columbia have seen. We are still going strong, so if you want to fill your tub we are the people to go with. We are a short trip across Vancouver Island and then you are into some beautiful fishing.

You can go offshore or fish Barclay Sound and enjoy some incredible scenery. After fishing you can relax on the deck with ocean view and have dinner at one of the nearby restaurants/with us and go visit the many beaches nearby.

Thanks for the wonderful time. We spread your name at the airport while showing off our four boxes of fish --it was great!

Thanks for the experience of a lifetime. Your friendliness, fishing techniques and boat handling was greatly appreciated. I will definately be recommending you to my friends. Thanks for a great time and I plan to fish with you as often as I can!

Sam! All is well here and we're right in the middle of our guiding season. The hunting is going well and the clients are happy. I wanted to thank you and Ray once again for an awsome fishing trip and for getting me the big one.

Jeff Condie, Grand Prarie, Alberta

Sam, Thanks to you and Dan for providing us with a great fishing trip in 2007! We're still eating the salmon and halibut we brought home with us -- I just hope we can make it last until we get back to Ucluelet!

R.W., Montana

Thanks to both of you for a memorable trip, the pictures of us with bent rods are on the wall of our offices.
