Fishing Report

July 1, 2015

Sometimes you have a hard time finding new words to describe what has been happening for weeks in a row. Awesome. Chinook (King) salmon fishing has been very good and we have been getting great average size fish for this time of year. Fishing has been much better than last year at this time and we are getting great weather to go with it!! Some days are good and some are just nuts. We did have slower day mixed in to keep us in check, but we have caught a lot of fish since then. We have been fishing mostly protected water lately which really helps with the scenic pictures and anyone who could feel a little queasy offshore.

Small spoons and glow hutchies have been working well in shore. We are also getting a few coho showing up as well. Halibut fishing has seen some dry spells in close to shore, but we have picked up a couple the last 2 days. Its high time you get your lines in the water here–the Chinook are just going nuts!

Below are some pics from the past week!
