Fishing Report August 28, 2023 Ucluelet BC

Chinook fishing has been insanely good and probably the best we have seen in quite a few years. And all the action is very close to the harbour. And it appears it is going to continue into well into September.

The word for the past 10 days is doubles, doubles, doubles. We have had so many double hookups these past 10 days, it seems like a dream.

And you don't have to be fishing Wya point. There have been lots of Chinook taken at the Lighthouse too. Of course there are many boats out there not seeing the same kind of action,  but we have been having a whole lot of fun.

The Coho have been around in decent numbers as well. Halibut fishing has slowed down a bit in most spots but is good at Big Bank like often happens this time of year.
