Hot fishing report August 22, 2023 Ucluelet BC

This is not a normal fishing report. Its telling you if you are in Ucluelet and haven't planned on fishing you have to get out there!

We are in the peak part of the local Chinook salmon run and fishing is on fire and should be for the next week. Afternoon fishing is great too so you don't even need to do a long fishing trip.

Fishing recap for Uculelet BC on the west coast of Vancouver island. We had another good season for Chinook, Halibut and Lingcod and much of the fishing for salmon was 15 mins or less from the harbour.

September fishing report Ucluelet BC

Salmon fishing was very hot at the end of August and then gradually started slowing down. Halibut fishing stayed hot during the first half of September and the lingcod fishing was very good most days.

Fishing for the large Chinook salmon has been as good as it gets the past 10 days with most Chinook in the 15-25lb range and a few larger being taken.
