Fishing Report June 13, 2026 Ucluelet BC

This season feels like a dreem so far. Lots of smiling faces and sore arms.

The Big Chinook

Chinook salmon fishing has been consistently good to great. Bites are happening in both the morning and afternoon.
Great Bear, Food Islets, Beg Island, Just outside the harbour mouth, Sail, Cree, Wya have all been good and some days boats are in all spots.
There is lots of small bait, both needlefish and herring around.
Suid is also showing up and both hutchies and spoons are working well.
Depths vary from 40-120 ft down.
Lately high teens and low 20's are getting more common.

Feisty Coho

Coho are gorging themselves and getting larger quickly. They started in May around 3-5 lbs.
Now we are seeing them up to 8lbs.
There are more Coho around this year than we have seen in quite a while.
They are not everywhere,  but are in quite a few spots including Beg, Food and Great Bear.

Bottom feeding Halibut

The halibut fishing has also been consistently good.
Early Morning bites are better but the salmon bites have been good early too so decisions need to be made!
Halibut are biting in all the common spots and most of the time we are just running a few miles.

Below are pics from the past couple of weeks.
