Fishing Report July 14, 2026 Ucluleet BC

Fishing the first part of July has been slower than June. July 1st was a beautiful Canada day fishing jsut outside the harbour on live squid. 
There were lots of large Chinook around and all our boats limited on good sized Chinook only 5 minutes from the mouth of the harbour. 
Bites after that were more sporadic the first week. We did have some nice Chinook in the 20's taken but it seemed like the tides and bites were often  such that we had a bit of work to do. 
Recently its started to pick up a bit. Tomorrow the offshore opens for Chinook which is welcomed by most people now. 

Halibut fishing
The halbiut fishing has been excellent. We have been getting our limits whether showing up early or late all within 10 miles of the harbour. Halibut have been consistent and while some spots are changing a bit, overall its been very good.
